SHINE Formation Resources exists to empower believers for transformative, Spirit-led growth. We are a self-publishing initiative devoted to seeing lives shaped by the gospel and formed for God’s glory, with a vision to see the radiance of Christ revealed through His people across the nations. Our mission is to create resources that cultivate worship, deepen formation, and awaken bold, confessional faith.

At the heart of SHINE is a conviction: the Church was never meant to be a passive audience, but a royal priesthood—formed in holiness, alive in worship, steadfast in truth, and radiant in mission. We are committed to reclaiming and restoring the ancient foundations of the Church, not as a nostalgic return to the past, but as a Spirit-breathed renewal for today. Our work is shaped by the vision of Ecclesia Gloriosa—the glorified Bride of Christ, crowned to reign and ordained to shine.

Through our primary works—including The Formation Series—we call the Church back to the deep wells of sacramental participation, where water and oil, table and altar, are not mere symbols but living means of union with Christ. In this union, we embrace participatory ontology: the truth that our identity and life are found in the shared life of the Triune God, and that our formation is the Spirit’s ongoing work of conforming us to Christ for the glory of God and the healing of the world.

We are committed to restoring the Church’s warfare model—grounded not in fear or spectacle, but in priestly, sacramental authority. This is spiritual resistance rooted in the finished work of Christ, carried out through worship, intercession, proclamation, and steadfast witness. Our theological stance is shaped by a partial open theodicy: a refusal to attribute evil to God’s will, an unwavering trust in His sovereign goodness, and a recognition that we are called to participate with His hand in the unfolding of history.

Operating independently allows us to maintain theological clarity, pastoral integrity, and creative freedom—free from the shifting demands of the market or the dilution of doctrine. Every book, guide, and resource is designed to be both theologically rich and practically formational, fit for personal devotion, small group discipleship, and congregational teaching.

Behind this work is a hidden life of prayer. In the long obedience of priestly service, the author, Steve Forsberg has embraced a calling to intercede for the preparation of the Bride—choosing to remain unseen, dwelling in the secret place, and lifting before the Lord the cry for His people to be made ready. The writings and resources of SHINE are the fruit of that unseen labour: offerings laid before Christ, that His Church may be formed in holiness, steadfast in hope, and radiant with His glory at His appearing.

Our aim is simple yet weighty: to equip the Body of Christ to know God deeply, worship Him truly, and serve Him boldly. We long to see believers established in baptismal identity, seeing His glory, holding fast to His truth, increasing in His strength, navigating by His wisdom, exclaiming His name, and participating fully in the Eucharistic life of the Church.

This is more than publishing. This is priestly service through the written word—a labour to see the Bride made ready, the nations discipled, and the glory of Christ fill the earth.
