The Cruciform: Volume IV

This is the shape of true authority—the cross lifted high, the Word confessed, the name proclaimed. In Christ crucified, the Church is formed not in comfort, but in power. Here, the lies of the accuser are broken. Here, the saints are armed with truth. This is the training ground of holy resistance, where we learn to war by worship, to speak with clarity, and to stand in the fire without fear.

The Cruciform, the fourth volume of The Formation Series, calls us to embrace the way of the Lamb who reigns through sacrifice. This is no path for the half-hearted—it is the narrow way of power made perfect in weakness, where the cross is not only our salvation but our shape. Formed by the Word, clothed in righteousness, and filled with the Spirit, the Ecclesia rises—not with weapons of the flesh, but with the wisdom of God, the courage of confession, and the authority of Christ.

Here, disciples are trained for the field of witness and the field of battle, for both require the same armour of truth. In these pages, you will be grounded in Scripture, fortified in confession, and sent as both witness and warrior. You will learn to wield the sword of the Spirit with precision, to resist the enemy with steadfast faith, and to proclaim the gospel with unwavering clarity.

This is no retreat—it is a commissioning. The Cruciform Church is the Church militant—beautiful and burning, bearing the cross and crowned to proclaim. In the shadow of the cross, fear loses its grip. In the light of the resurrection, courage takes root. And in the fellowship of the Spirit, the people of God are sent—marked by the cross, empowered by the Spirit, and destined to reign with Christ in glory.
